Women and Youth forum was formed as a result of the First Global Meeting of the Mountain Partnership in Merano, Italy.
Its objectives are to contribute to poverty reduction among women in rural communities in Ghana, raise awareness on environmental sustainabilty, build capacity of women through training and provision of equipment, and provision of micro-finance support.
Our organization mainly works on the protection of the Lebanon mountain chains which are currently in danger because of development projects, which are threatening their existence. We also have created the protected area of horsch ehden, a rare species forest which lies on the outskirts of Ehden. We are a conservation organisation.
