Welcome to the electronic consultation to define the
organisation and priorities of the SARD-M initiative
of the Mountain Partnership.
At the Cusco
meeting of the Mountain Partnership in 2004, members
of the initiative on Sustainable Agriculture
and Rural Development in Mountains (SARD-M) met to
start discussing and identifying priority areas for
action
and a few recommendations were identified. To follow-up on the recommendations, the Global Mountain
Program, a leading member of the SARD-M initiative of
the Mountain Partnership, is moderating an e-consultation
entitled SARD-M Initiative: Organisation and Priorities.
All members of the SARD-M initiative are automatically
invited to participate in this e-consultation. Other
Mountain Partnership members who would like to join the
e-consultation are also invited. Please register for
this e-consultation to let us know that you would like
to participate.
The outcome
of the e-consultation will be a report with a summary
and recommendations. In a second stage, the
recommendations will be used by members to set priorities
that will guide future action.
This e-consultation
is being organised under the aegis of the Mountain
Partnership and is being held for the
members of the SARM-M initiative of the Mountain Partnership,
along with invited guests. This e-consultation
is being managed by Mountain Forum - including its
secretariat and regional nodes in Africa,
Asia-Pacific, Europe, Latin America and South America
- in association with the Mountain Partnership Secretariat
and the Global Mountain Program.
