Asia-Pacific Mountain Courier: Special issue on youth action for climate change through art Vol 11 No. 2 (2010)

The release of this issue of the Mountain Courier should be seen in the context of youth support. This issue on ‘Youth and Climate Change’ has been compiled to underscore the International Year of Youth (IYY) 2010-2011; the upcoming COP 16 in Cancun, Mexico; and the increasing interest of young people in taking part in activities related to climate change issues. These activities will continue until COP 17 in Cape Town and Rio+20 in 2012, and we hope this effort will facilitate recognition of the role of youth in the context of mountain development and be included in the work plans of respective meetings. This issue contains the views of young people, information about various opportunities, an APMN youth activity review, and other regular features which we hope will provide you with interesting reading.
