The Second International Conference on Mountain Environment and Development (ICMED) 2012

2nd ICMED, officially organized by Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), State Forestry Administration of China (SFAC), National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and International Geography Union (IGU).

The theme of 2012 ICMED is Concern for The Mountains and Support for Our Future, embodied by five topics: 1)Climate change and mountain environment evolution; 2)Mountain environment conservation and resource sustainable utilization; 3)Mountain disaster mechanism, disaster mitigation technology and risk response; 4)The development of mountainous areas in the progress of modernization; and 5)The policy and regulation of mountain development.

At 2012 ICMED , invited speakers famous in mountain science field will give us theme presentations and young talented scientists will also be welcome to make topic presentations in a particular session. We hope to impress all the participants by an open-minded and hospitable organiztion committee and a successful interaction and communication on mountain development.
