Managing Alpine Future II

The complex interaction of driving forces in mountain environments and societies means that inter- and transdisciplinarity is the guiding principle for all research activities and its application in mountain regions. As the effects of mitigation reveal to be insufficient, interdisciplinary dialogues and joint efforts of the international mountain community have the aim to inspire and drive sustainable adaptation.

“Managing Alpine Future II” targets stakeholders from academia, governments, non-governmental organisations, international organisations and the private sector in order to maximize cross-fertilisation in the field of mountain research and development.
