Wild Rodopi

Wild Rodopi is an independent Bulgarian NGO conducting wildlife research and conservation projects in the Rhodope (Rodopi) Mountains. As well as collecting biological records and monitoring the exceptionally rich biodiversity of the Rhodope Mountains, we also work for the preservation of rural heritage in the region, acknowledging the crucial role that non-intensive agriculture and traditional ecological knowledge (TEK) have played in shaping the Rhodope Mountains into one of the most important havens for biodiversity in Europe.
