Call for Poster: International Conference "High Summit"

We are pleased to inform you that in occasion of the International Conference on Mountains and Climate Change “High Summit”, a poster session for young researchers and students will be organized and the call for abstract is now open. The deadline for abstract submission is June 30. 

The Ev-K2-CNR Committee, in collaborations with the Polytechnic of Milan, the Territorial Pole and the Chamber of Commerce of Lecco, is organizing the International Conference “High Summit 2013”, that will be held on October 23-24-25, 2013 at the Polytechnic of Milan – Territorial Pole of Lecco, Italy. The High Summit Conference 2013 aims to present the state of the art of current knowledge on the mountain ecosystem from scientific and socio-economic points of view.

The participation of high-level speakers moderating the various round tables will facilitate discussions among the experts and the conference audience. At the end of the two working days, a document will be produced, summarizing the main outcomes of the meeting. Results will be presented at the next COP19 in Warsaw, where Ev-K2-CNR will promote a side event dedicated to the role of mountain resources and related ecosystem services which need to be prioritized in the international context of the promotion of sustainable development under the impact of climate changes.
