Wildlife Conservation Nepal

WCN was established with a mission to conserve and protect wildlife. It is a charitable non governmental organization for the welfare and protection of environment. It supports line agencies in monitoring illegal wildlife trade in rural and urban areas of Nepal. To build a better society, WCN conducts outreach and mentorship program in schools and colleges so that able leaders are made. It has begun community services in rural areas for people who have been marginalized in the developmental processes. Mission • Policy analysis and advocacy on natural resources • Provide information on illegal wildlife trade to line agencies and maintain a working relation with different government line agencies • Strengthen leadership qualities in communities and students on conservation • Conduct Environment Conservation Awareness Program • Strengthen advocacy through mass media and journalism • Provide trainings and workshops on wildlilfe conservation WCN introduced Youth Environment Program (YEP) which promotes and develops different conservation models that benefits students from schools, colleges and universities along with communities at large. YEP focuses on eight action oriented programs - Urban Wildlife Program - Environment Conservation Awareness Program - Radio program - Footprints - Environment Education Classes - Volunteer Program - Nature and Wildlife Photography - Interaction Program
