Vertigem - Associação para a Promoção do Património is a local environmental Non Governmental Organization (NGO), registration number 167/L, without lucrative purposes, political or religious ends. The goal is to promote and preserve natural and biological heritage. Vertigem - Associação para a Promoção do Património was born in 1996 as a result of a group of young enthusiasts in caving, that decided to create this organization, directed to the general community, with a special emphasis in youth. Since its constitution, Vertigem - Associação para a Promoção do Património has been developing various activities in the areas of environment and youth, at a regional, national and international level, with partnerships with similar organizations in other countries with the highlights of the implementation of the European Voluntary Service, with sending and receiving young people from and to Portugal.
