SIMAR is a budding voluntary organisation working in Garhwal Himalayas in Uttaranchal the 27th state of Republic of India. It is engaged in NRM based enterprise development, women empowerment and raising health awareness among children and women. Besides this, SIMAR also provides technical support in NRM to various NGOs in the state. It has good relationship with prominent NGOs of the state such as SBMA, CHIRAG, AT-India etc and is currently funded by Sir Ratan Tata Trust and SPWD, New Delhi.
