Shandur Welfare Society

Shandur Welfare Society (SWC) is based in Laspur valley in the Hindukush Mountains Range. The society works for environmental conservation, adult literacy, computer literacy, traditional handicrafts, capacity buidling of social activists and promotion of traditional sports. The society has a number of sources for income which include membership fee, local donations, income from activities and products and donations from partner organisations. The society has developed synergies and linkages with public sector departments, private entreprenuers, civil society organisations and donors for the promotion of common cause. Our partners in development include social welfare department, Government of NWFP, community development department in the District Government of Chitral and national council of social welfare at national level. Other partners include AKRSP, AKSWCP, SRSP, Pakistan Baitul Mal and Tehsil Municipal administration of Mastuj.
