Rifah Development Organization

‘RIFAH’ a non-governmental, non sectarian neither political nor profit making public welfare voluntary organization registered under 1961(XLVI of 1961) DWS/NWFP/1902 (20th April, 2002) exclusively focusing on the development of Rural communities in NWFP. RIFAH’s sectoral aims are to address Millennium Development Goals with special emphasis on Basic Health, Education, Sanitation, Infrastructure and other livelihoods needs of the communities at par with the provision of income generation opportunities. RIFAH exclusively believes in active participation of all the units representing their respective clans. From all clans in the social and economic lives of the society through targeted education training facilities and linking with the market establishment of a specific program. This is part of RIFAH’s goals in its involvement in matters concerning social awareness, while preserving these values, which are of importance to the development process. RIFAH is committed to encourage participation of communities in the development of social and economic live of the society through their involvement in Decision-making, planning, implementation, and monitoring of activities. The vision of the organization is to empower rural areas and enhance their capacities so that they can actively participate and contribute in the process of achieving participatory development. RIFAH is committed to encourage active participation of women in the social and economic lives of society through targeted education and training. In order to achieve its goals in sustainable fashion, RIFAH will utilize qualified and trained expertise available locally as part of its efforts in using local human resources. RIFAH will coordinate its activities with other like mind organizations and institutions in order to facilitate the exchange of information and experience within the Areas of its activities. RIFAH envisions development as a multi-dimensional process and all aspects have to be considered in order to achieve a lasting and sustainable change. An important aspect of such a change is the formulation of people friendly programs at all levels (community level to national governmental level) and the amendment in the existing policies to ensure the full participation. The RIFAH is looking to bring about sustainable development; focusing the most marginalized groups of the communities in the rural areas to overcome the vulnerabilities by addressing the root causes. RIFAH ensures the complete coordination all stake holders and services providers.
