Project "recreative potentials of Stara planina (Western Balkan)"

Since the Second World War till the end of the 20th century because of the well - known (now historical) circumstances, geographical institutions on the Balkans had very weak collaboration. Together with new economical, political and other tendencies in the field of science comes to concrete forms of collaboration. A contract on the realization of the project "Recreative potentials of Stara planina" was signed between Geographical Institute "Jovan Cvijic" SANU from Belgrade and Geographical Institute of the Bulgarian Science Academy from Sofia at the end of 2001. As far as we know it is about one of the first international geographical projects on the Balkan in the last sixty and even more years.
