Pan Himalayan Grassroots Development Foundation

Grassroots is a non-profit voluntary organisation involved with the initiation of holistic mountain development programs in the central and western Himalaya in India. The emphasis is on self-help and community-driven efforts towards eco-restoration of languishing river basins. The aim is to improve the quality of life, through adoption of appropriate technologies in cross cutting sectors like water, sanitation and renewable energy. Plus, improve livelihoods through establishment of agro-based micro enterprises and thereby impact upon food security.
