Nepal: Transition to transformation

The book is organised into nine chapters. The introduction (chapter 1) explores the concepts of inclusion/exclusion and of national integration, as it summarises the eight other chapters. The next three chapters (chapters 2- 4) deal with the problems of socioeconomic and political transformation and the issues of women's empowerment. Chapters 5 and 6 describe the problems of conflict induced displacement and exclusion of the poor people from land rights. The next two chapters (chapters 7-8) focus on the problems of landlessness, livelihood insecurity, and the question of national integration, and the last chapter is one of conclusion.
