My Community, Our Earth

The My Community, Our Earth Partnership supports youth worldwide to use geography to contribute to local sustainable development. The MyCOE program was developed in concurrence with the global ideas championed at the World Summit on Sustainable Development in Johannesburg, South Africa in 2002. Founding organizers are the Association of American Geographers, ESRI, Inc., National Geographic Society, and the United Nations Environment Programme. Current sponsors also include the US Department of Agriculture, the US Agency for International Development, the US Geological Survey, and the InterAmerican Development Bank. www.geography.org/sustainable
