Mountain Riders

Mountain Riders is a French non-profit organisation that was created in the year 2000. Our aim is to bring together the different local and national stakeholders: elected representatives, professionals and holidaymakers in order to raise their awareness and enable their action towards the common goal of a sustainable and responsible development through: - awareness raising for the general public - Developing a reference frame-work for sustainable development in mountain resorts through the edition of the annual Eco Guide to ski resorts, and the Eco Guide to mountain gear - The development of scientific studies on greenhouse effect gases emissions in mountainous regions Mountain riders is currently looking for other like minded associations to develop/publish a local version of the Eco Guide to mountain resorts in Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Germany and Slovenia.
