Mountain Forum Annual Report 2000

In this first annual report, we are pleased to share our efforts in 2000 with you, along with numerous ideas to be pursued in the coming two years and beyond. We present details of the global activities in 2000 and report on the regional networks, presented in alphabetical order.

We also report on preparations for the International Year of Mountains 2002 – a key event that brings hope and opportunity to further the mission of the Mountain Forum. At the end of the report, we present extracts of the audited financial reports of the MF Secretariat and MF-GISN activities (Annex 4). Both operated as projects within host institutions, and have been independently audited. We hope that as MF moves towards establishing itself as a legal identity, we will have a complete audited report for presentation in the forthcoming years.
