Mountain Club of South Africa

The Mountain Club of South Africa was founded in 1891 and is affiliated to the world mountaineering body, the Union Internationale des Associations d'Alpinisme (UIAA). The Club offers mountaineering, climbing and hiking opportunities to its members and is involved in mountain search and rescue, conservation of mountain areas, procuring access for mountaineering, training and competition climbing.
