Interview with Anthony Bebbington - Poverty & social equity issues from a Green Economy perspective

In this interview, Dr. Bebbington indicates that the challenge – for mountain dwellers and outside actors alike – is to imagine and make viable modes of living that will satisfy the legitimate aspirations of rural dwellers at the same time s being “green.” Dr. Bebbington mentions that all economic forms reflect varying degrees of “greenness”, and the same would be the case for economies of mountain environments. He states is important to understand, in ways that are sensitive to regional and local context, why these differing trajectories occur.
