Interested in receiving a graduate degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) from a university in the United States? Then this announcement is just for you.
3 fully funded student fellowships are available at the University at Albany, State University of New York through an initiative funded by the US State Department. The students are expected to participate in an international and interdisciplinary initiative called ACCIÓN (Andean Climate Change Interamerican Observatory Network) to study aspects of current and future climate change and glacier retreat in the Andes. The students will work toward a M.S or Ph.D. degree under the guidance of Prof. Mathias Vuille in the Department of Atmospheric and Environmental Sciences (DAES, http://www.atmos.albany.edu), in collaboration with partner institutions in South America and Europe.
In order to be eligible students must be citizens of Chile, Peru, Ecuador or Colombia, pass the English TOEFL test and have a B.S. or M.S. degree in a science discipline (preferably Atmospheric Science, Environmental Science or Physics). The fellowships include an annual stipend of US$23,000, health care and tuition coverage.
