HKKH Partnership project

The HKKH Partnership Project aims at consolidation of institutional capacity for systemic planning and management at the local, national and regional levels, focusing on poverty reduction and on biodiversity conservation in the Hindu Kush - Karakoram - Himalaya region. It is supported by the Italian Cooperation (MAE-DGCS) and implemented by IUCN in partnership with ICIMOD, Ev-K²-CNR and CESVI. Adopting a cutting-edge complex socio-ecological systems approach, the project supports the development and implementation of management plans, develops an streamlines tools and instruments, carries out capacity building and methodological development to support ecosystem management, planning, monitoring and evaluation processes on different spatial and temporal scales in collaboration with key stakeholders involved in natural resource management.
