Himalayan Heritage Conservancy (A society of young volunteers)
Himalayan Heritage Conservency (HHC), a society of young volunteers group working for Natural heritage conservation through Biodiversity & Cultural Research documentation centre, took birth in Old Colony, Margherita, Tinsukia District, Assam, India in 2004 A.D. Himalaya in general and Eastern Himalaya is the 18th Bio-diversity Hot-spot zone and one among the two globally important eco-systems of the world in particular, is the vast treasure of enumerable stock of valuable flora and fauna. Seeing the present scenario of Environmental degradation followed by the crisis to the Environment, it is foremost to come forward voluntarily with the aim and purpose (project) to conserve the Himalayan natural heritage in aids with active participation in the main stream by the unemployed but educated (technical & non-technical innovative potential) youths of the region and around the world.
From its very inception HHC has been channelizing the scientific spirit of the educated youths for the conservation of Natural Heritage through Socio-economic development of the Himalayan
region. All this is done through an organizational will have (four) tier set up, which is as under:-
(i) Grass-root (Local/rural & urban) level unit.
(ii) District level unit.
(iii) State level unit.
(iv) National level unit.
