Final Version 2 of the ‘Guidelines for the use of REDD+ Social and Environmental Standards at country level’ now available

Final Version 2 of the ‘Guidelines for the use of REDD+ Social and Environmental Standards at country level’ of 16th November 2012 is available in English and will be available in other languages including Spanish, French, Portuguese and Bahasa Indonesia at www.redd-standards.org

Drawing on emerging experience from countries using REDD+ SES, the existing ‘Guidelines on use of the REDD+ Social & Environmental Standards at Country Level’ have been reviewed to facilitate and strengthen the in-country use of the REDD+ SES.

Version 2 of the Guidelines was prepared by the REDD+ SES Secretariat based on feedback from stakeholders in countries using the standards and other stakeholders and was reviewed and approved by the International Standards Committee before publication. Comments were invited from members of the public on drafts of Version 2 of the Guidelines during a 60-day period from 5th April 2012 and during a 30-day period from 20th August 2012.  A response to all comments received and earlier versions of the standards are available at www.redd-standards.org
