eTourism Research Group

eTourism research group works in the Department of Computer and Management Sciences at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Trento. Its research deals with the application of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) to tourism in the Alps. The research group is interdisciplinary, with researchers from the fields of management, computer science, and statistics. The general objective of the group since its founding in 1997 has been to observe and gather data on the structural and managerial characteristics of businesses and organizations operating in the tourist sector in order to assess possibilities to apply and diffuse information and communication technologies (ICT).
