In 1979,DaliyonkaDagriya Research and Development Institute was esatblised as ayouth force of CHIPKO.It wasregistered under the society registration act 1860as an NGO.DKDRDIs focusing its efforts on the sustainable management and conservation of natural resources and cultural heritage of the hill villages in Uttaranchal.DKDRDI has been actively cooperating with various institutional networks,government agencies, local people and noted individuals in the field to achieve available social, economic and technological sustainability in the area.
