Chitral Association for Mountain Area Tourism
Chitral Association for Mountain Area Tourism (CAMAT) is a registered not-for-profit company established in 1998 by wide array of tourism stakeholders in northern Pakistan to promote ecotourism as a potential sector of poverty reduction. CAMAT is promoting community-rooted, pro-poor, culture and environmental-friendly tourism in Pakistan with special focus on nothern Pakistan which has promising peaks and natural treks with picturesque scenic beauties. The stretegy of tourism that CAMAT is following is to strike workable balance between natural environment and tourism. Apart from this CAMAT has also been working for the protection and promotion of Kalash, Kho and Wakhi culture high in the Hindu Kush mountains.
