Capacity Building for Integrating GI and EO technologies in Mountain Planning- An Indian perspective

Capacity Building should be based upon the need of GI and EO applications, be it for national development planning system of member countries or professional/ market needs. Human resource development includes on job training for planners as well as 3 tier system of learning. Further, a GIS based multi-level networking is also proposed considering academic institutions/organisations, Government, NGOs and the local groups in pursuing responsible mountain development in HKH.
