Asia-Pacific Leadership Programme on Environment for Sustainable Development: Green Economy and Sustainable Development
We are pleased to inform you that the 2012 Asia-Pacific Leadership Program on Environment for Sustainable Development will be held from 4th June to 8th June in Shanghai, China. The theme of this year is Green Economy and Sustainable Development. If you have any friends who may have interests in this program, please help us to send the application documents to them. We’d like to gather more qualified participants.
The UNEP-Tongji Institute of Environment for Sustainable Development (IESD) was jointly established by the UNEP and Tongji University in May 2002. The objectives of IESD are:
- (1) To develop educational programmes tosupport research, technical and managerial skills and human capacity in developing countries;
- (2) to contribute to UNEP's global and regional environmental activities;
- (3) to disseminate information about best practices and technological developments.
Objectives:
• To provide the participants with an opportunity to broaden their knowledge on 3 dimensions:
—human dimension: mind, body, soul;
—environmental dimension: air, water, land;
—economic and social dimension:
society, environment, economy.
• To establish a leadership network for sustainable development
