2011 Peace, Environment and Tourism Conference [CALL FOR PAPER]

Global Peace Association (GPA) Nepal and Himalayan Alliance for Climate Change (HIMCCA) have teamed up to organize a 2011 Peace, Environment and Tourism- PET Conference, promoted by Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), on “Building Sustainable Peace through Tourism and Environment” in September 20-21, 2011 in Nepal in order to bring together the knowledge, experience and the practices of researchers, practitioners, policymakers, planners, government agencies, international development agencies, civil society organizations and entrepreneurs in these three seemingly diverse but closely interrelated areas of importance to mankind, and develop common understanding and policy measures to manage these sectors for the benefit of all and to ensure the pathways to peace. We cordially invite interested contributors to submit abstract of their analytical papers with maximum 500 words on peace, environment, tourism and their cross-cutting issues by 31 May, 2011 in a prescribed format available on http://www.petconference.org.np.
The paper should focus on peace, local, national, regional or global environmental issues and challenges and tourism development. Likewise, the interested persons may pre-register their name for participation in the conference by 31 July 2011. The registered participants can submit the posters on the prescribed area of the conference.

- Deadline for abstract submission: 31 May
- Notification of abstract acceptance: 20 June
- Deadline for full paper submission: 15 July
- Notification of full paper acceptance: 15 August
